ID Generation within Prolific

Hi,

Could I recommend making it possible to generate or collect participants’ Prolific unique IDs when integrating Fresco with/into Prolific, possibly by making it possible for NC to pull URL parameters? And I imagine that providing a “how-to” for setting this up would be helpful as well…

I see that you currently have this set up for Qualtrics; would be nice to have one for Prolific as well. What I had to do was add a question in my study asking participants to provide their unique IDs, but I see how this creates a risk of typos.

Also, in Architect, since users have to manually provide their Prolific ID (which is a 24-character string), can you make it possible for them to copy and paste the ID directly from Prolific? Right now, the application requires them to type it out. Or perhaps there’s something I’m missing?

The principle should be exactly the same for Prolific (creating a URL to the fresco onboarding link that contains the prolific ID as a URL parameter) I hope. Is there something specific to prolific that you would like to see documented?

As for copy/paste, that should work fine. Are you not able to paste into a field in your interview?

Correct, I am not able to paste into the field where participants are to provide their Prolific ID.

So just coming back to this, as I said in my email i was able to paste with your protocol. What prevented you from pasting the prolific ID?
