We have hosted a survey in Prolific but cannot figure out which participant ID in Prolific connects to IDs in Fresco. We need this to determine which surveys to approve and pay, since there are some data quality issues.
Is there a way to link which ID in Fresco is connected to IDs generated in Prolific? Would appreciate help with this.

I’m sorry that you’re running into this issue. Online data collection can throw all kinds of surprises.
Unfortunately, the only way to link Fresco participant IDs to Prolific IDs would be to have participants enter their Prolific ID as a response item in your Fresco survey. If your Fresco survey didn’t include such a question, there isn’t going to be a quick and precise way to link the two ID numbers. The Network Canvas team should probably update Fresco’s documentation to recommend adding this kind of question to prevent this problem in the future.
Assuming that your participant received a completion code in the Fresco survey that they entered back into Prolific, what I would do is check your Prolific data to see what time people entered the completion code (i.e. what time they completed the Prolific task). Then I would cross-reference these times with Network Canvas’s sessionFinish variable, which is stored for each participant in the ego-level datasets exported by Fresco. Pairs of Prolific completion times and sessionFinish values with the smallest difference should indicate a match. While this approach may not be fully precise, it does offer a way forward. Thank you. I figured there’d be no other way out. Your recommendation was my last resort. I’m guessing I’d have to complete this cross-referencing in Excel.
Edit: Just realized that I will need to download the file from Prolific to cross-reference completion times, but I cannot do that.
