First of all- thanks for making such a wonderful social network data collection software, it’s been a pleasure exploring what it has to offer over the last couple of days.
I was testing out the new Interviewer PWA on my Macbook (M2 Pro, macOS 15.7.9) and did some test runs with the sample protocol and my own first protocol. When aiming to export and save the zip-file data to my (university) files folders, I noticed I could only choose “share” with a limited number of not–so-relevant apps, not my file directory. Given my lack of technical skills I could be missing something that’s very clear, but I could not figure out a way that made sense to me to safe it to a file folder. I added some screenshots of what I’m seeing fyi.
Thanks in advance for the response,
Nina van den Broek (Radboud University, Nijmegen, the Netherlands)
Thanks so much for this report, and for your very kind words!
I just checked and was able to reproduce your issue in Safari. It looks like we need to add some logic to detect the platform, because this behaviour should only happen when running on an iPad.
I’ll fix this right away.
In the meantime, things seem to be working correctly in Chrome.
Thanks for the detailed report @Nina_van_den_Broek. The screenshots were especially helpful.
It’s fixed and released in Interviewer 8.1.3. To pick it up, open Interviewer with no interview in progress and it will update itself; the version indicator at the bottom right should then read 8.1.3. If you’re mid-session, it will offer the update rather than interrupt you.
